About Me
Hello fellow art enthusiast, and may I introduce my own wonderful addiction? My name is Ewen Morrison, and I am a retired DSA ADI (Driving Standards Agency Driving Instructor), or simply 'ADI', as we used to refer to ourselves. My own involvement with 'artweb.com' is purely as a preparation towards my intended involvement with a family built 'online art gallery' - presently, at the early stages of preliminery construction! I shall give notice here when it becomes active...too much to do in other areas before that time can arrive! Before our 'online gallery is built and operational, we have to prepare and commence building our actual Studio/Workshop to the rear of my home (happy times). My interest and love of artwork, and the fantastic artists, has been virtually lifelong and my own involvement in art was as common as it can be! As most of us can say, I began drawing as a 'toddler' - as a much older 'child', I still enjoy doing so...along with painting, sculpture, welding and fair range of art related interests/practices!
Photography first became an obsession in my teenage years, and still is, thankfully! My camera equipment and computers are all important aspects within my artwork production - so much so, that I must ensure that I do employ sufficient time in working without them and insure that I do not lose touch with what has always felt natural and normal! In all cases, Oil painting must be described as my first and foremost line of work. The limited space available here certainly seems to 'put a hem' on what one may wish to say - however, we often like to allow our artwork to speak for us...so, let it be so in future. This feels like a suitable stage at which to draw this peice towards closing; in closing, I thank you for spending time reading my words.
